News... JamFactory x Helpmann Academy Scholarship 2026 Recipient Announced

Helpmann Academy are excited to announce Ember Satyn as the recipient of the JamFactory x Helpmann Academy Scholarship 2026.

Ember Satyn is an emerging contemporary glass artist based on Kaurna Country. She completed her Bachelor of Contemporary Art in 2023 and is currently undertaking Honours in Creative Arts at the University of South Australia. Ember’s practice investigates how shifts in context, colour, and surface finish shape the perception of form, with her most notable work creating lifelike human forms by blowing glass into casts taken from her body. Her work has been recognised with the Harry P. Gill Memorial Award (2023), as a finalist in the Fuse Glass Prize and Stanislav Libenský Award (2024), and through inclusion in New Glass Review (2025).

“I’m extremely grateful to Helpmann Academy for this generous support towards my JamFactory x Helpmann Academy Scholarship. The grant has eased the financial burden of program fees, giving me the freedom to focus my energy on developing my artistic practice and professional skills. This opportunity will have a lasting impact on my growth as an emerging artist.”
