JamFactory offers a range of scholarship opportunities supported by the Medici Collective and our residency partners.
Open to JamFactory Associates and recent alumni from the JamFactory Associate Program, these scholarships provide invaluable professional development opportunities for emerging practitioners working across Glass, Ceramics, Furniture and Jewellery/Metal design.
The scholarships include residencies renowned organisations across the world including Domaine de Boisbuchet in Lessac, France; Pilchuck Glass School in Washington, USA; Corning Museum of Glass in New York, USA; and Bundanon in Illaroo, NSW
Building relationships with these like-minded organisations nationally and globally allows JamFactory to extend its creative community and expand the sharing of contemporary craft and design skills and knowledge.
Bundanon is a centre for creative arts and education, supporting the development of arts practice across all disciplines, enabling public access to the arts and to the landscape and promoting creativity and learning based in a unique cultural and natural landscape.
The Artists in Residence program is a pillar of Bundanon, this competitive residency program is made possible by the generous contribution of Arthur and Yvonne Boyd to the Australian public. Established in 1997, it has grown to become the largest program of its kind in Australia, hosting over 250 artists annually. The program facilitates creative exploration and offers participants an expansive environment to develop their artistic practice and engage with fellow creative minds.

that offers: state-of-the-art facilities where artists and students find the tools and the support they need to take risks and make discoveries; opportunities for people of all skill levels to forge and deepen their understanding of glass; connections to the glass community, where artists gather to create, learn, and share.
The Studio work spaces are equipped for furnace working, flameworking, kiln working, cold working, and more. As part of the Corning Museum of Glass, Studio artists and students have access to the world’s largest museum collection dedicated to glass and the Rakow Research Library.
More than a place, The Studio is a community where individuals passionate about glassmaking can come together and exchange ideas. Inclusivity and sharing of knowledge are at the heart of our programs. We welcome individuals working in all disciplines of glassmaking and at every level of expertise.
Founded in 1986, Domaine de Boisbuchet is an international research center for design and architecture. The campus is surrounded by 150 hectares of protected nature in southwest France and comprises an architectural park of historic and contemporary buildings. Our workshops, exhibitions, and events as well as a design collection and library serve professional guests and visitors from the neighboring and global community alike.
Pilchuck Glass School is an international centre for glass art education. Our serene campus in Stanwood, Washington, is nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains amidst a working tree farm.
From May through September every year, Pilchuck's progam offers a series of courses as well as residencies for established artists in all media. Summer sessions vary in length and offer concurrent courses in a variety of glassworking processes for artists of all skill levels. Small classes taught by world-renowned artists and instructors emphasize experimentation and teamwork while fostering individual initiative and expression.
Pilchuck also offers residences for both emerging and established artists during the fall and spring.
New and experienced artists alike often make tremendous conceptual and artistic progress in their short time at Pilchuck. Combining a deep focus on glass, access to a variety of resources, a picturesque Pacific Northwest setting and an ever-expanding international community of artists, Pilchuck has become the most comprehensive educational center in the world for glass artists.

For our second established artist residency, artisan have partnered with JamFactory. This unique opportunity is available for a mid-career or established Queensland furniture designer, designed to promote mastery, expand professional networks and knowledge, while supporting the creation and exhibition of new works.
With the support of Arts Queensland, the body of work produced will be exhibited at artisan with the possibility of touring.
