Sans Titre Vessel

Blown glass vessel with cane work by second year JamFactory Associate Bastien Thomas

Originally from France, Bastien came to JamFactory in 2017 to further his glass blowing and design skills, and identify himself as a practicing glass artist. After completing three years of study at France's national glass school, Lycee Jean Monet, Bastien undertook a six month residency at Carmaux's Glass Museum and then spent a year working under French glass artist Cyril-John Rousseau. Bastien is inspired by the beauty of glass and enjoys applying intricate details such as cracks, cane work and engravings to simple organic and geometric forms. Bastien is the recipient of the 2017 JamFactory - Corning Museum of Glass Scholarship.
