Earthenware serving platter by Australian ceramicist Daniel Garretson.


Daniel Garretson was raised in both Australia and the United States. He became interested in ceramics while studying philosophy at the University of Wollongong. He returned to the United States and undertook a three-year apprenticeship with Mark Shapiro, followed by a year-long residency in 2010 at the Red Lodge Clay Centre in Montana.

In 2014, he completed a Master of Fine Arts at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. In the same year he was accepted into the two-year Associate Training program at Adelaide's JamFactory.
