ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tim Edwards came to glass from a ceramic background, having developed a bold sense of design and interest in surface manipulation. He has gained a significant reputation for his blown and carved vessels with a strong link to his ceramic history. Exhibiting nationally and internationally, Edwards' work is represented in significant public collections, notably the Corning Museum of Glass, the National Gallery of Australia, The Art Gallery of South Australia and the National Gallery of Victoria. In 2006 Edwards was awarded the prestigious Rakow Commission from the Corning Museum of Glass, being the second Australian to receive this significant award.
