Daniel completed a Diploma of Arts (Fine furniture design and construction) at the Australian School of Fine Wood in Dwellingup, WA, in 2011. These studies gave Daniel a good grounding in traditional timber construction techniques and principles. They also allowed Daniel the opportunity to learn from Australian and internationally recognised Artists.
Daniel is currently undertaking his first year of the JamFactory Associate Traning Program in the Glass Studio.

A Good Sport - Bowling Arm bangles

Good Sport is an accessory range made with the leather remnants from cricket balls. For decades this leather waste has been discarded in Australia, designer Simone LeAmon continues the practice of fashioning the waste into original product ideas, first established by n+1 equals interdisciplinary studio in Melbourne in 1999.

The STRETCH Jug has been designed as a product to utilise the specialist skills and facilities of JamFactory’s Glass and Metal Design Studios. The jug itself is hand-formed using traditional glass blowing processes, while the anodised aluminium stirrers require precise industrial metalworking techniques in their production. The combination of these two elements ensures that each jug is unique and both studios use the manufacturing of the STRETCH Jug as a valuable training tool for participants in JamFactory’s two-year Associate program.

Madeline completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Australian National University under Richard Whiteley before moving to Adelaide, she is currently undertaking the glass studio Associate Program at JamFactory. She has worked for numerous artists at ANU and Canberra Glassworks including Nadege Desgenetez, Brian Corr, and Simon Maberly. Madeline was a finalist in the ‘Inaugral student art glass prize’ at Wagga Wagga Art Glass Gallery and was granted the Pilchuck Glass School scholarship in 2010 attending Italian maestro’ Davide Salvadore’s class.

As an innovative material Husque brings together the iconic Australian macadamia nut, the principles of recycling, and the ingenuity of Australian design. After the macadamia kernels are removed, the discarded shells are milled into fine particles, melded with a polymer, and the final product is formed into beautiful and useful objects.
