Managing Director: Brian Parkes
Brian Parkes is the new Managing Director of the JamFactory. He has
spent the last ten years as Associate Director and Senior Curator at Object:
Australian Centre for Craft and Design in Sydney where he curated many
influential exhibitions such as the landmark survey of contemporary Australian
design, Freestyle: new Australian design for living which toured to the Art
Gallery of South Australia in late 2007.
General Manager: Conny Wilson
Conny has just taken up the position of General Manager at the JamFactory Contemporary Craft & Design. She had spent 8 months as Acting Chief Executive Officer for the 2009 Adelaide Fringe. Prior to that appointment, Conny spent 4 years in the role of General Manager of the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival. Her introduction to the Arts was with national theatre company Windmill Performing Arts in the area of sponsorship and marketing.
Conny is currently Chair of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival, a board member of Urban Myth Theatre of Youth, Pulteney Grammar School Foundation and the International Musculoskeletal Research Institute Inc.
In 2008, she completed the Governors Leadership Foundation program and is a fellow of the Leaders Institute of South Australia.
Conny has completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in psychology and politics.
Finance Manager: Vicky Murphy
Vicky commenced at JamFactory in May 2004, having worked previously in a variety of industries including manufacturing, importing, retail, and the community sector. Vicky is a keen supporter of the crafts, but particularly loves quilting, textiles and all fabric based craft.
Finance and Administration Coordinator : Frances Davies
Frances Davies commenced at JamFactory in January 2009. Before that she worked in many different industries, including five years with a firm of Patent & Trademark Attorneys and ten years with a manufacturer and importer of amusement machines including some months in their Jakarta office. Besides enjoying her work Frances likes spending time with her husband and dog and relaxing on their houseboat on the Murray.
Public Relations Coordinator: Sophie Guiney
Sophie Guiney Commenced at JamFactory in September 2005. Sophie has a Bachelor of Visual Communication (Graphic Design) and began her career in the arts as an Arts Administration Trainee in the Marketing Department of Carclew Youth Arts.
