JamFactory Contemporary Craft and Design is a unique centre for the design, production, exhibition and sale of work by leading and emerging Australian designer / makers. In 2004 JamFactory celebrated 30 years of successful operation. Our four studios work in the areas of Ceramics, Furniture, Metal and Glass, each combining a rigorous training program with commissions and high quality production work. 

The studios are amongst the largest and best equipped studios in the Southern Hemisphere and are national leaders in fostering and developing contemporary craft and design.

The Gallery showcases contemporary Australian craft practice and our two award-winning retail spaces offers a wide range of high quality and collectable craft and design.

The accomplishments of JamFactory's artists and designers have gained an international reputation for quality and creativity. The emphasis is on fostering the best in Australian craft and design.

JamFactory is Australia's leading studio-based craft development organisation.
Don Dunstan's vision for a craft organisation has been growing successfully for more than thirty three years. JamFactory is a national leader that South Australia can be proud of.
Through sales, JamFactory provides income for over 400 artists and practitioners.
From sales in excess of one and a half million dollars, JamFactory returns over $750,000 to artists. Over the years, those returns have added many millions of dollars to the local creative economy.
JamFactory has employed and trained more than 360 of Australia's leading makers, artists and designers.
JamFactory Alumni are spread throughout the world - many are at the top of their profession.
JamFactory is great value for money.
State Government funding makes up less than one third of our budget - we generate the rest from sales, services and creative business initiatives. Federal Government funding makes up less than 3% of our budget.
JamFactory's audience continues to grow.
In the last two years visitors have increased by 21%. In 2006 over 125,000 people visited our shops and 75,000 people visited our galleries.
JamFactory is serious about hands-on skills.
At a time of national skills shortages, JamFactory is reinforcing the value of highly developed 'hands-on' work.
JamFactory is an energetic exhibitor of creative talent.
Last year JamFactory displayed 23 exhibitions demonstrating the works of 104 craft practitioners. All our exhibitions are open, free to the public, year-round.
JamFactory can really grow our creative craft/design industries.
JamFactory has the runs on the board. Now we are looking to secure resources to expand on the opportunities we have developed.
JamFactory is a Registered Cultural Organisation.
